  • The PEAK Home Ownership Program in Cochrane is administered by the Calgary Habitat for Humanity Society, supported by Cochrane Society for Housing Options, and Trico Homes.
  • Laredo Place will be the first multi-family community to offer PEAK Home Ownership in Cochrane.
  • Laredo Place has a total of 80 units and 5 will be available under the PEAK Program.  An assortment of two bedroom townhome style condos are available.
  • Units purchased under the PEAK Home Ownership Program must be the principal residence of the approved applicants.  The program is designed to get families into their own home and PEAK units may not be used as investment or revenue properties.

Is PEAK for you?

  1. Your gross family income needs to fall within a certain range for each unit type as determined by Habitat for Humanity Calgary and be adequate to assume all the responsibilities of the full mortgage payment, after the 5 year assistance period.
  2. Your household size should be relative to the size of unit selected - Need.
  3. Your application is conditional upon credit pre-approval and ability to obtain a mortgage and insurance through the assistance offered by the PEAK program - Financial/Credit worthiness.
  4. All applicants will be required to attend New Home Owner Workshops which will include topics such as Home Repair and Maintenance, Financial and Credit Management and Condominium Ownership: Understanding Legal Responsibilities.
  1. Applications are dealt with on a first come, first served basis and are pre-approved by Calgary Habitat for Humanity Society.
  2. Your application is conditional upon credit pre-approval and ability to qualify for a CMHC insured mortgage with our financial institution partners and designated Mortgage Specialists.
  3. Once approved, applicants will be matched up with suitable units based on need and availability.
  4. By signing the application, the applicant warrants the information on the application to be accurate and true. Providing any information that is false or misleading will result in rejection of the application.
