The PEAK Home Ownership Program is administered by the Calgary Habitat for Humanity Society, supported by Alberta Housing and Urban Affairs, and Trico Charitable Foundation.
Responsible for the administration of the program on an on-going basis including client intake, application
pre-approvals, all financial and legal matters, repayments, sustainable fund etc.
Alberta Housing and Urban Affairs is contributing equity funding (repayable upon sale) and a five year mortgage subsidy ($200/month for 5 years) for home owners.
Builder of Milano and York29, Trico is a top-ten builder in the Calgary area. Trico has allocated 125 units for intake into the Peak program.
The Trico Charitable Foundation has contributed over $1.6 million to the Calgary Habitat for Humanity Society for homeowner down payment assistance, up to 5% of the purchase price, re-payable upon sale.
Provides flexibility in funding guidelines and a reduction in mortgage insurance premiums and surcharges
to facilitate the Peak program for the Cochrane – Laredo Place and Milano projects.
The Cochrane Society for Housing Options (CSHO) is an organization designed to close the gaps in the Cochrane community's housing continuum. CSHO promotes access to safe, suitable and diverse housing appropriate to the incomes of Cochrane citizens. CSHO is contributing a re-payable down-payment for each homeowner $28,000 towards the purchase and a non-repayable five year mortgage subsidy ($200/month for 5 years) for 5 home owners.
